PYLA is an initiative of Pittsburgh Cares in partnership with the United Way of Allegheny County and Pittsburgh Public Schools. It is designed to have 9th and 10th grade youth develop and enhance a healthy self-concept and self-awareness, identify characteristics of leadership styles, and develop and practice leadership skills a decision maker, role model, advocate and volunteer.
