In partnership with the United Way of Allegheny County, Pittsburgh Cares manages the region's Days of Caring initiative. In 2009, over 3,000 volunteers from 60 companies completed over 150 Days of Caring projects and logged 17,183 hours of service. These efforts supported the work of over 100 regional nonprofit organizations.

In 2010, Pittsburgh Cares and the United Way of Allegheny County are striving to again engage our region's businesses in Days of Caring projects. Companies of all sizes and industries are encouraged to coordinate their Days of Caring in the months of September and October 2010.
